The “Solar Punk” group exhibition at the Kunstverein Weiden took place from May 30 to July 3, 2025, and was the first CO₂-neutral exhibition in Bavaria. It showcased works by international artists and offered a diverse program featuring music, discussions, and workshops that creatively explored themes of sustainability and future visions. kunstvereinweiden.de/solarpunk

Georg Lesk contributed vibrant, future-optimistic oil paintings that depicted a positive vision of a sustainable world. Additionally, he designed an interactive mini gallery that actively engaged visitors in the exhibition and encouraged creative exchange.

Georg’s work combines artistic expression with concrete environmental commitment, reflecting the spirit of the Solarpunk movement: optimism, technological innovation, and ecological responsibility as a unified whole.

A special highlight was the prototype of a low-budget solar island system, which Georg set up on-site.

A practical example of sustainable technology for everyday life, which the Solarpunk artist explored further in his workshop “How to Build Basically Anything – Without Prior Knowledge.”
