Pink Persons

Pink Persons – An art project by Georg Lesk

In the art project Pink Persons, Georg Lesk places self-made clay figures, painted in his signature pink, in public spaces. Each of these figures is linked to a personal wish of a real person—a positive thought for the future.

These wishes are assigned to the respective character on his homepage and can be viewed there. This creates a growing network of small, visible messengers of good thoughts that can be discovered in everyday life – on the streets, in parks, or in unexpected places.

With Pink Persons, Georg Lesk wants to draw more attention to people's positive wishes for the future and bring them into public consciousness – quietly, invitingly and hopefully.

I hope that we can find a strong, constructive way of working together and thereby regain a sense of the community we can be.

My wish for the future is that all people have the same chance of a fulfilling, happy life.

I hope that we understand the differences of every member of our society as potential, instead of being afraid of them and therefore rejecting them.

My wish for society is that I can live happily here at home and that I am accepted and safe.

I would like to see much more organic farming.

I wish for a future in which queer families are normal and a natural part of the street scene.

I wish for freedom, to be able to do whatever I want, for change, for everything to be able to change, I wish for healing and I wish for love.

I wish for a less cis-male-dominated world and a fairer electoral system.

I hope that our society will follow the protection of the weakest as its guiding star.
